Ginger Wildhearts huge triple album project is in its final stages, which means mixing and mastering. 10 songs were recorded from scratch at my studio, 5 were overdubbed with all guitars and all vocals + keyboards. I mixed a full album of great music made by Jeppe and Jesper, better known from the great influential metal band, Raunchy. This shows a more melodic and less metal side of the 2 main songwriters, and I really love it! Labels: get your hands on this ASAP!

Disparaged – new album drum recording, re-amp + mix.

The new Disparaged album (featuring Tom from Cataract) is in the making. The Swiss guys were here to have drums tracked, guitars re-amped, and I am mixing this as we speak. Great, riff-laden death metal how it was supposed to be, but surprisingly catchy!

Öberg – debut album in the making!

Next project coming up is a full debut album by these 3 very talented youngsters. Melodic pop rock, not far from John Mayer and Maroon5 etc. This is gonna be very exciting.

Goin’ to Berlin to track drums for new Dúné songs. Can’t wait to hear their new material!

Ginger Wildheart – new solo album in the making

Metal For Cancer – mixing and mastering

I took care of Henrik Flyman’s (Evil Masquerade) Metal For Cancer project, in terms of mixing and mastering. It has come out great featuring a bunch of great performers, a.o.:
Peter Wildoer, Mats Leven, Snowy Shaw, Tony Mills, Lance King, Glen Drover, Apollo Papathanasio, Stu Marshall, Tony Kakko etc. etc.
All money derived from this song are donated to the AUSTRALIAN CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION (http://www.acrf.com.au). This also includes Henrik Flyman’s own performance right royalties (as composer) from airplay.

I am mixing the debut album of Danish rock act Saint Rebel, due out on Mighty Music early 2012.

Pyramaze – new album in the works!

The Danish/US power metal act is recording their 4th album. Drums have been tracked, and now the rest of the layers will be tracked different places in the world.

Phonomik – American producer and new album being recorded

Phonomik’s 2nd album is being recorded during December. Drums were tracked some months ago, and now vocals, bass and guitars is being laid down together with legendary producer Dito Godwin (No Doubt, Kiss, Peter Criss, Great White etc.). The album is due to be mixed by the end of this month.

Pretty Maids – LiveDVD+CD in the works…

For the first time ever, Pretty Maids will release a live DVD. The recent show at Z7 in Switzerland was recorded, and is now in the process of being mixed. Very exciting stuff!

Bottled In England – Dubstep recording+mixing

This young duo is right recording new songs, and may I add that this is a great experience to do something that I’ve absolutely NEVER done before!

Diabulus In Musica – album mixed

Napalm Records is releasing the debut album of Spanish Diabulus In Musica. Expect great songs with pathos!

Danish melodic metallers just finished recording, mixing and mastering their new and second album, yet to be titled. This time, quality was taken up quite a notch, and the outcome is an album that surpasses the highly acclaimed debut album. Keep your eyes on these guys! Link

Tainted Lady – recording 4 new songs

These hard-rockin’ Danish youngsters are recording 4 new songs to show to labels. With an average of 17 years of age, it’s amazing what they’re doing. I really hope they’ll gain the recognition they deserve.

Cryoshell – new songs recorded

Cryoshell, which was first started as a band writing songs for the LEGO Bionicle universe, is now recording new songs with new vocalist Tine Midtgaard, and a new drummer behind the kit – the studios own Martin Pagaard. The new song is called Break Out, and shows the band from a new, less metal side. The 2 new songs has been recorded, mixed and mastered here.

It’s been quite a project gathering the best live songs of a great number of recorded shows. It ended up being most of the Forum (Copenhagen) show, Anaheim and Rock Am Ring. And it was my first encounter with 5.1 surround mastering, which was done by Eddie Simonsen at Mainstream.

Ronal The Barbarian – mix and mastering of title song

New Danish animation film, which has been sold to several countries this far, and has this Manowar-esque theme Of course I was asked to mix and master the title song, being the heavy metal maniac I am.

Lotto commercial – mix and master of theme song

The Danish Lotto commercials are normally quite funny, and the new one is no exception. The music accompanying a pair of siamese twins, where one half is darn lucky, and the other half obviously isn’t, is Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again”, re-recorded by the cream of the crop of Danish rock artists.

Lance King – solo album mix/master and song writing

A singer that completely floored me when I was working with Pyramaze, was Lance King. When he asked me to participate on his coming solo album project, I obviously said yes. It is now done after a lot of people wrote songs, Kim Olesen (Anubis Gate) produced and arranged, and I mixed and mastered.

Iron Fire – mix and master of new album

Danish power metallers Iron Fire decided to have me mix and master their new album, and what a treat! Great songs, great performance and tasteful mix of power and prog.

Fate – mix and master

Mixed and mastered a cool old band here! The album is called “Ghosts From The Past”. To be released by AOR Heaven.

Dragonland – new album

Swedish sympho metal at its best. Olof and Elias were in the studio to complete the new epic opus. Olof tracked solos, violin and misc guitars, Elias did keyboard programming and production, and Morten Loewe recorded drums here. This album hasn’t left my CD player since! Maybe one of the finest power metal albums ever!

Surfact – mix

A Danish very promising rock/pop act, of which I also mixed their previous album. Produced by Søren Balsner of Carpark North fame. This time we went with American mastering engineer Maor Appelbaum, who did an amazing job.

Aborted – recording, mix and mastering of new album

“Global Flatline” is the title of the new Aborted album, which I’m proud of being a part of. Optimized in every aspect, the band is more fierce than ever, and the performances are beyond insane!

Dyscarnate – mix and mastering

British Dyscarnate was a very pleasant surprise! The album is the perfect blend of speed and groove, and catchy death metal tunes the way it’s supposed to be.

Rock Am Ring – Volbeat live Broadcast mix

I had the pleasure of being behind the scenes and mixing the Volbeat live show for German TV at the Nürburg Ring this year.

Norwegian metallers Teodor Tuff may not ring a bell to many, but with this, their second album, it will hopefully change. Fronted by their new singer, this is really a lethal dose of proggy, hard rock and power metal.

Stokholm Promise – album in progress

Danish pop/rock act Stokholm Promise featuring charismatic Nicole Stokholm, is working on their debut album here. This includes arranging, recording and general production, plus of course mix and mastering when all is done.

Anubis Gate – mix and master

My “old” band Anubis Gate was here to mix and master their new great album for Nightmare Records.

Also the fantastic band Cryoshell finished their recordings+mix and mastering in 2010. This resulted in the self-titled album which was out in June. A great blend of heavy guitars, modern rhythms, excellent musicianship, and fronted by a charismatic female vocalist unlike most…

Projects:

Destruction – I’ve been mixing the new Destruction album for Nuclear Blast, which also will feature the band’s new drummer. The album is gonna be titled “Day Of Reckoning”, and we’ve been trying to capture the rawness of the three-piece in a more “simplistic” and to-the-bone mix. Everyone involved seems to love it!

Another so-called “old-school” band has been in the studio to track drums, vocals and re-amp guitars. Onslaught is the name, and it puts a smile on my face to have met these kind guys which I learned to love back on their “Power From Hell” debut in 1984. This new album sees them from a more modern, yet very classy approach. Great stuff indeed!

I also had the utmost pleasure of mixing and mastering Mike Tramp’s new album “Stand Your Ground” for Frontiers Records. This band is the cream of the crop of Danish (hard) rock musicians, and to be able to work with a guy like Mike is something I wouldn’t be without. Thanks!

Mercenary’s coming album is in its final stages. We’re still mixing the last few songs, and the future seems bright for these lovely people!

Another band that took me by pleasant surprise was the Swedish prog rock band Wolverine whose new album I mixed. It was produced by Oliver Philipps. Keep an eye on this new album! Fantastic material.

The final touch has been put on The Interbeing’s debut album, which is really great! These guys are still unsigned, so…

Current project:
Amaranthe from Gothenburg, Sweden is in the studio right now recording their debut for Spinefarm. This is highly skilled musicians working on a a really ambitious album project.
