Drum samples for use with Slate Trigger2 (TCI files).

These samples have been made over the course of several months in Jacob Hansen's studio together with various drummers and drum techs, using both in-house kits and a vast variety of snares. Both modern and vintage, industry standards and rare, exotic ones, and there’s definitely a use for all of them in so many different types of mixes and productions, so go ahead, use and abuse them as you wish!

These are all processed in a way that would be done during a production. That means they’re not overly processed, yet they have the Jacob Hansen signature stamp all over them.
They all take additional processing very well, if you need to EQ or sculpt them to make them fit right into your own mix!

The thought process behind these was, that they could still be sculpted in a way that will work in any mix.

The files come as TCI files for use with Trigger2.

This is a world-standard plug-in for any DAW to trigger your samples either by audio or midi.

The one-shots pack has a very vast collection of classic samples that you’ve heard on several Jacob Hansen mixes since 2001, as well as new brand ones made exclusively for this pack.

In total there are 32 snares and 14 kicks, pre-processed and ready to rock, and comes as 24-bit WAV files for use in any DAW.

TIPS:

  • Try using the rooms or OH tracks only to add depth to your natural kit!

  • Adding a little transient shaper or a little classic SSL style EQ can really open these up!

  • You can use the DDRUM TRIGGER signal in the VARUS MORPHEUS KICK (Deluxe Pack Only) to add extra attack. This can be used for all the kick samples, and you should really experiment with pitching ONLY THAT TRACK to experiment with the tone of the attack.

  • That same DDRUM TRIGGER signal/sample can also be used to add extra attack to your toms!!!
